Leather Boot Outsoles

Leather soles can mold to the shape of your foot as it is essentially skin, allowing for natural contouring due to its inherent properties. When cork is added, it can create a soft and flexible footbed, providing greater comfort than rubber.

Goodyear Welt

Goodyear welted is a category of high quality shoe construction that allows a pair to be resoled multiple times without damaging the upper leather. Labor and material intensive, we believe Goodyear welting to be the pinnacle of artisanal shoemaking.
The main advantage of a pair of shoes made with Goodyear welting is their long-term durability and the option to have them resoled. This construction method enables the outsole to be easily removed from the welt, allowing for a new sole to be attached. Due to the multiple layers of stitched leather, Goodyear welted shoes offer superior water resistance compared to other types of construction. Enhancing this further is the option to add extra waterproofing elements. Additionally, over time, wearers benefit from increased comfort. The design creates a space between the insole and outsole, filled with a layer of cork. Cork is both porous and flexible, gradually molding to the wearer's foot shape, providing a custom fit.
